Clean, green cleaning
by Kristin Doyle

“Collectively, we dump 32 million pounds of toxic chemicals down our drains each day, just from household cleaning products. That doesn’t count what goes into our indoor air. Switching to green alternatives keeps these chemicals out of our bodies and out of our water supply.” (Living Green: A Practical Guide to Simple Sustainability.)

What is green living? Many people think it means being environmentally friendly. While this is true, it’s also a very vague answer. To narrow it down, living green means reducing your negative impact on Earth in everyday actions, being energy efficient, lessening the use of petroleum products and conserving water.

At Brian’s Cleaning Solutions, this is exactly what we strive to do everyday. With our all natural green cleaning service, we can help you detoxify your indoor environment while maintaining your health and that of your planet. Whether wiping up a kitchen table or mopping the floor, people usually reach for commercial products created in labs that get the job done quickly but rarely in a safe or gentle way. Brian’s Cleaning Solutions uses non-toxic, all-natural products that work just as well but are safe for your family and pets.

Chemicals usually settle on soft surfaces such as furniture, carpets and walls, and can linger for days, creating a toxic breathing environment that you aren’t even aware of. A five-year study by scientists at Harvard University, released in 1986, revealed that pollution inside the typical American home was two to five times worse than the air outdoors. By switching to green cleaning products now, you can start the reversal process and recreate a safe environment to live and breathe in.

Green cleaning encompasses tactics that will save time and energy, not just the planet’s, but your own. Decluttering, another service offered by Brian’s Cleaning Solutions, is also a great way to start this process by gaining access to areas you weren’t reaching before. When we come to your home, we will begin with a first-time deep clean. On our weekly or bi-weekly follow up visits we will rotate rooms for “special attention.” By following this method we have found that dirt and buildup is consistently tackled and maintained, resulting in a cleaner home environment for you.
Give Brian’s Cleaning Solutions a call today and get started on your greener, safer life.
